Bishop of Yagoua
Barthélemy Yaouda was born on January 31, 1964, in Mayo-Ouldémé, within what was then the Diocese of Garoua (now the Diocese of Maroua-Mokolo). He completed his primary and middle school education in the Adamaoua Province, and his secondary studies first at the Minor Seminary of Golompwi and later at the Minor Seminary of Douvangar, in northern Cameroon. He pursued his ecclesiastical studies at the Saints Apôtres Interdiocesan Major Seminary in Otélé (Yaoundé) and subsequently at the Saint Augustin Interdiocesan Major Seminary in Maroua. He was ordained a deacon on June 16, 1996, and a priest on November 8, 1997, becoming incardinated in the Diocese of Maroua-Mokolo. Following his ordination, he held the following positions: 1997–1999: Parochial Vicar; 1999–2003: Parish Priest at Sainte Famille in Makulahé; 2003–2007: Vicar General and Cathedral Parish Priest; from 2007: Apostolic Administrator of Yagoua.
