Primary responsibility is to decorate for Christmas and Easter. Also changes banners, altar cloths, and dusts windows as needed.

Work with families who have recently lost a loved one to help plan the funeral liturgy. Ministers serve as planners, greeters, lectors, and/or Eucharistic ministers at funeral Masses. Contact Anne Ketzer, Bereavement Ministry Coordinator.

Troop chartered 1950 with long tradition serving Mt. Healthy and Church of the Assumption. Accepts boys 11-17. Weekly meetings and monthly activities (camping, hiking, service projects). Annual week-long camping trip.

Provides guidance to the Pastor, parish staff, Pastoral Council, and Finance Committee regarding Assumption-owned buildings and grounds maintenance and capital improvements.

Supports the prayer and worship of the parish community by leading the assembly in sung prayer. Guided by the Church document Sing To The Lord.

Oversees appropriate and adequate communication within and outside the congregation, including quarterly newsletter, weekly bulletin, weekly email, parish website, and social media.

Assist at Mass each Sunday distributing the bread or the cup. Must have received the Sacraments of Initiation including Confirmation.

Mission: To Receive and Proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ for current and future parishioners. Activities include Lighthouse Kiosk program, welcome cards, opening prayers at public events.

Advisory board to the Pastor on significant financial and business matters. Responsible for preparation of the annual parish budget.

Madonna Council, formed 1954, based in Mt. Healthy. Catholic, family-oriented, fraternal organization. Meetings held 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month at 7700 Seward Ave. Rosary at 7:30 PM, meeting at 7:45 PM.

Proclaim the word of God at Eucharistic Celebrations.

Committed Catholic men gather in Christ's presence to share experiences, prayerfully support one another, and discuss lessons/scripture. Meets 2nd & 4th Saturday of the month (September onward) 8:30-10:00 AM at a member's house.

Primary advisory committee on matters of parish policy. Nine elected members serving 3-year terms. Meets 3rd Monday of the month. Meetings are open to the parish.

Gathers to praise God and worship in spirit and truth through scripture and gifts of the Holy Spirit. Meets 1st and 3rd Monday at 12:30-2:00 PM in the Brides room of the church (summer meetings in members' homes).

Dedicated members respond to the special intentions of parishioners through prayer.

Renews the call for Catholics to restore respect for and legal protection of every human life from conception to natural death. Activities include educational distribution, participation in Respect Life Flower Sale, Baby Shower for Pregnancy Care Center.

Assist the priest before, during and immediately following Mass. Adults and youth over age 11 are eligible. Scheduled approximately one weekend Mass per month.

International volunteer organization of Catholic lay men and women helping needy community members. Works with Mt. Healthy Food Alliance. Annual events include Angel Tree Project and Winter Coat Drive.

Serve parishioners during all Masses: assist with seating, collect the offertory, direct parishioners for communion, distribute bulletins, secure the church after Mass, and respond to emergencies.

Actively supports and nurtures Worship at Assumption Parish by developing understanding of parish worship needs, creating a dynamic worship environment, and presenting opportunities for private and community prayer.
