Prefect of Robe
Angelo Antolini, O.F.M.Cap., is Prefect of Robe, Ethiopia. Angelo Antolini, O.F.M.Cap., was born in Italy, at Santa Vittoria in Matenano in the Diocese of Fermo, on 24 May 1953. He entered the Seraphic Seminary of Fermo in 1962. In 1966 he transferred to Cingoli for the two-year gymnasium program and afterward to Camerino for the novitiate period. He made perpetual profession on 6 June 1976 and was ordained a priest on 17 September 1977 in Ancona. After priestly ordination he held the following responsibilities: 1977-1981, assistant at the Seraphic Seminary and vocation promoter of the Capuchin Order in the Marches Province; 1981-2006, parochial vicar, person responsible for the formation of catechists and young people, and coordinator of the Neocatechumenal Way in Ethiopia; 1987-1990, parish priest of Dubbo; 1990-1995, pastoral leader of the central zone of the vicariate; from 2000, head of the diocesan pastoral department; 2003-2006, vicar of the Capuchin Vice-Province of Ethiopia; from 2006, missionary in the Apostolic Vicariate of Meki and national director of the Pontifical Mission Societies of Ethiopia.
