Prayer & Devotional
Special 40-hour period of continuous prayer before the Blessed Sacrament in solemn exposition. Typically late September (Sunday-Tuesday). Vespers each evening at 7pm with guest preacher.
Liturgical
Open to young men and women between 5th and 12th Grade. Required to attend The Mass of the Lord's Supper on Holy Thursday and the Annual 40 Hours Eucharistic Devotion.

Cares for the altar, sacristy, and sanctuary. Decorating, cleaning holy water fonts, washing/ironing/folding/repair of linens and vestments.
Bereavement
Offers hope and walks with those grieving the loss of a loved one. Based on Diocese of Allentown Catholic Ministry to the Bereaved model. Confidential and compassionate.
Música
Liturgical soloists who cantor the Psalm and Gospel verse, and lead hymns at Mass. Anyone in 9th grade or older welcome to audition.
Youth & Young Adult
Parish-based academic and athletic program. Sports include Girls Volleyball (grades 5-8) and Cross Country (grades K-8). Open to HGA School and PREP students.

Program for children in Grades 1 and 2. Children hear the Sunday Readings and Prayer of the Faithful in their own words.
Social Justice & Outreach
Any shut-in parishioner who would like a monthly visit with Holy Communion should call the Rectory to be added to the Communion Call List.
Youth & Young Adult
Boys Kindergarten through 5th Grade (ages 5-11). Meets first and third Thursday of each month during school year 6:30-7:30pm. Cub Scouts cross over to Boy Scout Troop 161 at end of 5th grade.

Proclaims that human life is a precious gift from God; society must protect and nurture human life at every stage of its existence.
Social Justice & Outreach
When illness or advanced age restricts attendance at Mass, parishioners may receive Holy Communion at home weekly from priests or Extraordinary Ministers.
Youth & Young Adult
Serves girls K-12 in Muhlenberg and Oley School Districts and HGA. Meets every Monday 6:30-8:00pm in the School Social Hall.

Pastoral Care visiting parishioners who are sick or cannot worship regularly. Responds to parishioners' spiritual, social, and emotional needs.

Council 14847. Performs charitable functions: supporting seminarians, decorating church for Christmas, Kennedy House soup kitchen, pro-life efforts, food baskets, financial support to school and church.
Liturgical
Lector ministry open to men, women, or high school students called to minister the Word at Mass. Eucharistic Ministers serve at Liturgy by distributing the Body and Blood of Christ.
Prayer & Devotional
Largest apostolic organization of laypeople in the Catholic Church. Works include evangelization, parish visitation projects, youth work. Will visit parishioners at home to pray the rosary and help enthrone the Sacred Heart.
Social Justice & Outreach
Encourages unity and understanding within the Christian family, and reaches out to non-Christians. Provides opportunities for praying with others and cooperative ventures.

Holy Guardian Angels Adult Choir (High School and older). Four-part harmony (SATB). Rehearsals every Thursday 6:30pm. Sings at 9:45am Sunday Mass from week after Labor Day through Pentecost Sunday.
Social Justice & Outreach
Lenten program through Catholic Relief Services. Students witness faith by participating in CRS Rice Bowl, learning about global hunger and placing almsgiving coins during Lent.

Seek to meet physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of each person. Act as the vital link between faith and medical communities.
Hospitality
Outreach program sending handwritten greetings to parishioners for holidays, birthdays, baptisms, weddings, sympathy, and military service. Keeps the parish family connected.
Prayer & Devotional
Combines compassion and love of knitting/crocheting into a prayerful gift. Gives shawls to nursing home residents, homebound, ill, those having surgery, diagnosed with cancer, on hospice, or suffering a loss.
Pro-Life
Rosary Rally for the Sanctity of Life. 3rd Wednesday of each month at 5:30pm in the Chapel. Members gather at the Memorial of the Unborn in the front of the church.
Youth & Young Adult
For boys ages 11-17. Continuous history at HGA since 1936. Meets Thursday evenings 7-8:30pm throughout the year. Numerous weekend campouts and week-long campout in July.
Hospitality
HGA Seniors Club open to anyone 50+. Meets second Wednesday of the month from March to December at the Rectory. Invites speakers on subjects pertaining to seniors.
Social Justice & Outreach
Offers service through food, clothing, community outreach, and spiritual support. Projects include Monthly Stock the Shelves, Kennedy House Soup Kitchen, Valentine's Day Cards for Seniors, Angel Tree Project.

Provides friendly, welcoming presence, leadership during emergencies, collection, presenting gifts, assisting at Communion, distributing bulletins.
