Adult Faith Formation offers spiritual enrichment, retreats, Bible studies, speakers, book studies, and prayer services.

The Altar Angels are dedicated parishioners who humbly care for the Communion linens used during Mass.

An altar server assists the priest during a liturgy. Adults and children are welcome to be altar servers at Resurrection.

The Art and Environment Committee is responsible for making sure the worship space is both beautiful and welcoming according to the liturgical season.

Book Club Book List and Meeting Dates

The group is made up of parishioners who provide time and talent to maintain the church building and grounds.

The sale of ads for the bulletin raises funds to offset the cost of publishing the bulletin.

Busy Bees is a widows’ group. The group enjoys monthly gatherings, fellowship, and the support of each other during the difficult time of losing a spouse.

The Capital Improvement Committee serves as an advisor to the Pastor and Parish Pastoral Council on all matters relating to capital improvements or changes to the parish’s physical plant.

The Cemetery Committee of Resurrection maintains the cemetery and ministers to those making burial plans.

The Charity and Outreach Ministry researches, recommends, prioritizes, and allocates money for area agencies and other charities.

Entrance into the Church is governed by the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA). This is the rite for those who want to become fully initiated into the Catholic Church.

Communications publishes the weekly parish bulletin and distributes it through Flocknote. They are also responsible for the weekly announcements.

Volunteers distribute the Eucharist to parishioners who are temporarily or permanently housebound.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion assist the priest in the distribution of Holy Communion or Precious Blood during Mass.

The mission of the Faith Formation and Evangelization Ministry is to address the spiritual needs of all children, youth, and adults within our parish.

Families are guided through the process of planning a dignified Catholic funeral, choosing everything from music to readings, tributes, and those they would like to participate.

The Haiti Mission leads the parish’s efforts in twinning with a Haiti orphanage and educates the parish on ongoing projects in Haiti.

The Healing Prayer group offers prayer with and for any parishioner who is in need.

Holy Strokes is an annual golf outing that promotes fun and fellowship and raises funds to support local charities, including Resurrection’s St. Vincent de Paul.

Joyous Junque is a group of approximately 30 parish volunteers who gather every Tuesday throughout the year to gather, sort, and prepare used but serviceable items of all types for sale.

Teams of usually four volunteers plan a funeral reception in Morrow Hall for the family and friends of the deceased.

Lectors are ministers of the word. They proclaim the first and second readings at Mass.

The Liturgy and Worship Ministry supports all aspects of communal worship to ensure adequate preparation of each Mass and each liturgical season in accordance with diocesan policy and directives.

Ministry of Caring (MOC) is a lay ministry of Resurrection Catholic Church partnered with Trinity Ecumenical Parish to provide short-term help for families in need of things, such as transportation to the doctor or hospital, a meal for someone just home from the hospital, respite time for the caregiver, etc.

Our Music Ministry provides music during liturgies. New singers and instrumentalists are always welcome.

The office volunteers provide a special ministry that benefits the entire parish community as well as the office staff. The focal point of the ministry is hospitality.

Operations & Facilities

The Parish Community Life Ministry is the heart of our Church. They provide experiences to enrich relationships within our parish.

The Pastoral Call team consists of ministers who make phone calls to parishioners who are homebound, often in recovery from health situations or with persistent health issues that keep them from church.

The Pastoral Care Ministry provides support, comfort, and prayer to parishioners and their families in times of stress, loss, crisis, or life changing events.

The Respect Life Committee offers opportunities for parishioners to get involved in active pro-life ministry through prayer and outreach.

Sacramental preparation is provided to those who would like to receive the sacraments of Baptism, Reconciliation, Holy Communion, Confirmation, and/or Holy Matrimony at Resurrection.

The Sacristan is a person who takes care of the sacristy, the church, and their contents, such as the sacred vessels and vestments.

Members of Safety and Security secure the church facilities before and after services. They also handle medical emergencies.

The Social Committee consists of volunteers who like to spread good cheer with meals and fun events to bring parishioners together.

The St. Vincent de Paul Team provides short-term, limited financial assistance for rent, food, gas, electricity, etc. for financially needy in Bedford and Franklin counties, regardless of religious background.

The Sunshine Committee brings a bit of sunshine to parishioners of Resurrection Catholic Church in the form of cards for birthdays, get well messages, and “thinking of you.”

If you have attended a men’s or women’s Cursillo weekend, you are welcome to attend our Ultreya on the 3rd Monday of the month.

Ushers greet and welcome people as they enter the church. They help to seat those who come to Mass, take up the collection, lead the faithful to Communion, and distribute bulletins.

The Wednesday Women’s Group (WWG) began in 1999 when Sister Betty, our Parish Coordinator, felt there was a need for a time and place for RCC women to come together to share their faith and experiences and provide a foundation for friendship.

The Welcome Committee reaches out to prospective and new parishioners to answer questions regarding Resurrection Catholic Church’s missions and activities.

Christian Formation provides children from Pre-K through high school with opportunities to know, love, and serve God and His son, Jesus.
